McKee Construction Defect Remediation Project This 140 unit landmark property is located on Old Main Street, Bellevue, Washington.   The Association is currently going through a $5M + building envelope remediation project for defective construction and the resulting damages.   Repairs include a total strip and re-clad of the existing stucco exterior, replacement of windows and doors, rebuild of decks, repairs for dry-rot, waterproofing of the courtyard above the parking garage, and total re-roofing. David Bach & Associates was hired to provide full Construction Management Services, including: interfacing on behalf of the client with the engineering and design firm, the City of Bellevue Planning Department, the general contractor, sub-contractors, and material suppliers. Challenges included assistance with project funding, facilitating the permitting process, cost control, and negotiating a contract with the general contractor on behalf of the client. The project is currently ahead of schedule and within budget.
